I spent a layover in Manchester. I spent the night at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Manchester Airport. Its one stop away by train is Manchester Piccadilly.

I started my tour on the streets, visiting the Chinese Arc, Manchester City Hall, the Manchester Library, Piccadilly Gardens and the Exchange Square. I spent most of the time at the Manchester Art Gallery. I had such a great time and really appreciated the gallery. It was a great learning experience. From there I walked to the National Football Museum and then made my way over to my last stop Etihad Stadium.

As I walked back to Piccadilly Station, I stopped at Frankie & Benny’s to grab a bite, not the particular English dish but a meal regardless. Before leaving, I visited the Piccadilly Tap, where I sat and had a few drafts with fellow Manchester United fans. They played Sheffield United earlier and were at the bar just having a good time. They sang along with a true passion for their team while enjoying a few beers, it was really an awesome time.

Finally, it was time to board my train back to the airport in anticipation of my flight the next day. Thanks, Manchester for a wonderful time and hopefully we see more of each other in the future.
