As a traveler, you are always keeping up to date with something, whether its airline policies, political affairs in your favorite country or in this case my last complimentary Admirals Lounge Pass. The pass was complimentary with my US Airways Premier World MasterCard, now the Barclays Aviator Red World MasterCard. As we all know, as of October 17th, 2015 US Airways has fully merged with and has become American Airlines.
There are actually two lounges in JFK (Terminal 8), however, I prefer the lounge on Concourse C. Showers, wifi, complimentary beverages and a variety of foods. This is a great way to spend downtime at the airport.
There is also adequate space to work, charge electronics and relax. (No more crowded gates or sitting on the floor by the nearest outlet) A day pass is an investment but if you travel more frequently, an annual club pass is better. The day pass cost $50 and the annual pass is $500 (price depends on award status). If you aren't an existing Advantage member, the Citi Advantage Executive World Elite MasterCard is a good choice. It currently offers a promotion of 75,000 miles after spending $7,500 within three months. Admiral club access is offered to you complimentary as well.
Spending New Year's Eve in the Admirals Lounge before my first flight of 2016 was the best way to bring in the New Years, Happy 2016.
