Typically, when I travel, I’m left with the task of planning everything from flights, hotel, and the experience. This time, I was so lucky that the good people of Celestial Voyagers were in charge of putting together such affairs. I really appreciated everything they did in ensuring that our group had a wonderful time in Germany. (My hat goes off to you all) Thank You.

For once, I had pre-arranged transportation from the airport. We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel, Frankfurt. My first stop would be the Holbeinsteg, a small bridge I noticed from the hotel led to the Staedel Museum,

The Staedel Museum is considered by some as Frankfurt’s best Museum. It showcases the cities art from the 14th century to the present day. It was such an experience and one that I would recommend to anyone that visits Frankfurt. From the museum, I walked to Schweizer Street for an authentic German food fair.

First on the agenda on Monday was the German Chamber of Commerce. Germany has long been considered the financial capital in Europe so it was nice visiting and learning about its history. Outside the Chamber of Commerce are the statues of the Bull + the Bear. More impressive is the restaurant next to it conveniently named the Bull + the Bear. The shrimp scampi is to die for.

Key places to visit in Frankfurt are the Euro building, The David and Goliath Statue, Old Frankfurt to visit the Old Church of St Nicholas. From there I walked across the Eiserne Steg to cross the main to visit the other side of Frankfurt.

Time moves by so quickly when you’re having fun but it gives me something to look forward to when I return to Frankfurt. Until then “Ich Hatte eine Tolle Zeit, Deutschland.”
