Back when I was an avid reader of travel magazines, one if the first places I saw was the Petronas Towers in Malaysia. I was incredibly thankful when the opportunity came to visit. I flew from Phuket to Malaysia and flew Malaysian Air for the first time.

As I landed in Kualar Lumpur I located my driver and took the almost hour ride to the city. One fo the first things I saw was the hours as well as the second tallest building in all of Asia, Merdeka 118. At 118 floors its second to only the Burj Khalifa and stands out amongst the city.

Arrived at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur and checked into my room. The room was lovely of course overlooking the garded below. I quickly changed and headed out to the Batu Caves. The 272 stairs was the worst part of it but the views from the top was worth it. On premises are two other monuments as well as a shopping area but time did not allow it.

I then headed back to the city to try and catch the towers. Unfortunalely for me, the towers were closed due to Ramadan and the only views i'd get would be on the outside. I entered the mall, saw the water show at KL towers and saw a few other items. Kuala Lumpur is hiding a few gems people, you need to visit.

I had dinner at the hotel then walked around the city for a bit before resigning for the night.

Kuala Lumpur has a lot to offer and is one of hose places that should not be slept on.
