My first trip to Paris

The city of love is famous for many reasons, none greater than the Eiffel tower. When the opportunity came for my first visit, I jumped at the chance.

A majority of my travel tips originated from this trip. I was in Manchester for the week, so I flew over to Paris for a few days. From Manchester to Paris (CDG) is roughly 1hour 45 minutes. From the Airport, the RERB is the best way to Paris. There I learned the valuable lesson of having multiple payment forms. The machine wouldn't accept my Bank of America Travel Rewards Card so I had to use an ATM and purchase the tickets cash. I stayed at the Mercure hotel.

My first Parisian breakfast was at Le Pario, followed by a brisk walk to the Eiffel Tower. At first, it seemed like a noble idea but the cold soon said otherwise. The highlight of the walk was seeing the miniature version of the Statue of Liberty. Arriving at the Eiffel tower can be intimidating. No matter the time of year, the crowds are daunting. However, a trip to the top is worth it. It's a feeling of accomplishment with views of Champ de Mars.

During the winter, the Hop on and Off buses are the best way to see the popular places. it also keeps you from the cold. Didn't get to see much for this trip but that only sets up my return.
